Clinical Psychology
Serving East Anglia (Suffolk, Norfolk, Essex, Cambridge) and London
Many people are motivated to seek support when they feel blocked from living their own life to the optimum. This may have been caused by an obvious event, or the reasons may be less clear.
Clinical psychology is able to draw on a range of methods to suit the individual, but all methods follow a clear rationale and are based on current best evidence.
Examples of issues addressed include:-
- Medically unexplained symptoms
- Depression, anxieties and phobias
- Sexual abuse, physical abuse and/or emotional abuse
- Relationship difficulties for couples living with dementia, stroke or other brain injury
- Reactions to physical health problems including chronic pain
- Life review and validation
- Long-term mental health problems
The process aims to be fully collaborative, with the therapist supporting the client to be in charge of their own aims and progress.
Verbatims:
"For the first time that I can remember, my anxiety has subsided enough to allow me to experience a far richer, more comfortable emotional life. It is difficult to put into words how much my daily experiences have been improved. Like everyone I still have difficult moments; but I can cope with and get past them. So, again, thank you!"
